Marc Schlesinger, founder and CEO of Landmarc Asset Advisors, has more than 20 years of experience managing, leasing, owning and operating commercial real estate investments in Washington DC, Maryland and Northern Virginia. Schlesinger began his career in leasing and building management for Charles E. Smith Co. in 1988, and later with Spaulding and Slye in 1992. He went on to develop Schlesinger Co. in 1994, a third-party fee business with a focus in brokerage and sales, which merged with the Smithy Braedon portfolio in 1996. In 1999, Schlesinger co-founded and served as the COO for Goldstar Properties, during which time he also served as a General Partner in the company’s first private real estate equity fund.  He originated investments, and was also instrumental in the management of syndicated acquisitions, capital formation, financial underwriting, due diligence and value creation through leasing and management. Leveraging his unique and varied experience in commercial real estate, Schlesinger founded Landmarc Property Group in 2005, specializing in direct investments, origination, structuring, redevelopment, operations of office and retail real estate investments, and construction and asset management. Today Schlesinger is putting his broad understanding of the commercial real estate world to work as the driving force behind Landmarc Asset Advisors.
